Geometry is the sole developer for PlanBuild Tasmania as an easy-to-use portal for the state-wide management of planning, building, plumbing and public health application processes. It will be used by industry professionals, property owners, local councils, and government agencies. The portal is currently being built and staged implementation of functionality will start from mid-2021.

PlanBuild is based on the GEP platform with the following key features in addition to the feature already available:

• Dynamic form builder – allows administration staff without technical training to develop and publish application and assessment forms. Forms are linked to user roles and workflows for consistent interaction
• Workflow integration – the number of user groups that are involved with PlanBuild required a robust work flowing solution to ensure records were assessed in a timely manner
• External service integration - spatial data, financial transactions
• Query based rules engine – The PlanBuild system was devised to assist the general public through complex planning rules and to achieve this a question/answer based rules engine that is linked to a spatial dataset is available. Full administration tools for updates over time without developer intervention are part of the product.
• Dynamic dashboard – dynamic dashboards for public and professional audiences
